The more in-depth stuff would be used for forensic investigations, like to track down a criminal-type stuff. Heck, I have books on handwriting analysis at home. You can get an idea of what kind of a communicator someone is, how organized they are, whether they are sloppy or make hasty decisions, whether they are secretive.
